When he sees the beautiful caustics, from the sunset shining through a glass of red wine hitting the table, he wonders how many samples and time this noise free scene would take to render on 32 CPU cores at 4k resolution.
Or the campfire burning late at night. Wow, nice combustion there! Perfect reference for my next simulation.
Or the glint in the eyes of his kids on christmas. So much specularity! Awesome AF!
